Don, you have touched on several topics near and dear to my heart. Multi-generational housing is brilliant for all involved. Starting another career later in life. Getting qualified helpers for nursing homes may mean offering classes and training for the immigrants who are willing to do the work. And what stereotype to I resonate with? Most that you mentioned. :D

Your NewScan column is going to be valuable.

Thanks, Kit. Good to know I've got the pulse of at least one reader.

I would say I'm a Life Long Learner.....but then I'm not sure what a Life Explorer is and if there's a difference between the two.

I'm loving your work here, Don. I think I'm your target reader - hub and I are in our late 50's, watching our parents struggling in their 80's and juggling all of the things.... I'm also inspired by your work b/c I have worked in the eldercare space and have a vision to make it easier to find good eldercare. I also have a vision to start more newsletters here on Substack about eldercare and about grandparenting.(My current newsletter is about parenting.)

Anyway, keep up the good work! I'm a fan!

Thanks so much, Catherine! Could you give me a link to your parenting newsletter? I'd like to see what you're doing.

Here is someone doing work very similar to yours, only with grandparenting. I see a lot in common with your missions. https://thelongdistancegrandparent.com/

Less than a 24/7 home health aide, I suspect.
