Great article. My dad is a robust 94 has and uses a mart phone, although we’d like him to text and he doesn’t. He uses email, FB, etc. He has more tv remotes and knows how to use them for the various tvs in his house. I need tutorials when I visit. What I like best though is that Siri helps around the house. ‘ Siri, turn on the bedroom light’ as he is going to bed. ‘Siri, play some Irish music’. My dad is always looking for new things and frequently shares his finds with me. I do marvel at his willingness to embrace technology and use it, his willingness to ask for help when he needs it ( we tried to deal with a company that only wanted to renew his cable subscription -over 360 channels- with cryptocurrency. Even I couldn’t get that done.) My dad didn’t get electricity in his home until he was in high school. He’s come a long way……
I wasn't aware of Cyber-Seniors, thanks so much for this resource, I'll be sharing with my groups. It would also be great if more senior centers provided in-person tech help. I once spoke with someone in CA who led a weekly "Appy Hour" where people learned about useful apps and how to use them. What a fun, inviting name for it!
This is why I have kids.
I think you showed remarkable foresight.
One of my favorite past blogs! Enjoy Canada…

Thanks Don for continuing to write.
Your dad is an example we all should emulate!
