Great article with some sobering statistics. I got very comfortable getting cozy with myself in the pandemic and need to do some damage control as a result.
Loneliness in the UK is now being addressed by both Government and voluntary organizations, which I would love to see happen here. But this post alone could make a difference in someone's life. You're absolutely right that people experiencing loneliness should reach out and schedule. I would also suggest that those who aren't lonely reach out to those friends, family, and acquaintances they know or suspect are socially isolated. There's a real taboo in the States around loneliness, and it needs to go. Community benefits all of us. Thanks, Don.
