Loved this conversation. I am like some of the mothers mentioned in that I definitely avoid exposing myself to violence in the media. If I become too disillusioned with the world, I don’t have the “umph” needed to help. I also like the idea of going to an educated source for answers as opposed to getting dizzy with an onslaught of opinions. There’s quotable stuff in this (“someone will tell me when the day is cancelled” - classic!) and Don, you made me smile with your trademark wit. “I’m sick and I wanna be sick” comes to mind. Plus, your word “cruising” is perfect for what I’m doing way too much of online these days. Thank you, all.
