I am going to agree with @Rosmary, LOVE this. I only wish I wrote it! :) Its been lately that I too have felt the same way; either forced venture out - painfully - or as I age more, die sooner from comfortable alone-ness and daily routines.
I all-caps LOVE this one, Don. As usual, your wit is on point but this time x10. The whole thing is quotable to be honest because I felt like I was reading about myself (now that sounds narcissistic when I say that). I definitely need to be dragged out of my cave. Just LOVED this (okay - I’m gushing- time to stop!)
Excellent post, Don! So well written. I relate to your dilemma, especially during this Age of Covid. But I am also considering taking a trip later this year.... to the UK!!! Do I have the Courage? Only time will tell.
I really resonate with the part about overstimulation. Being quiet inside is my heart's desire.
